Mobbing-Opfer Sam Leeson (13)

Sam war ein Junge wie Carl-Josef in den USA oder Millionen in seinem Alter in unserem globalen Dorf. Er hatte eine Leidenschaft für sich entdeckt, die ihm etwas neben der Schule und dem Alltag gab, „EMO“ Musik.

EMO Musik (1) bestimmt sich dadurch, dass „sich durch das stärkere Betonen von Gefühlen wie Verzweiflung und Trauer sowie durch die Beschäftigung mit gesellschaftlichen, politischen und zwischenmenschlichen Themen auszeichnet“. (1) Von daher gilt EMO als nicht Mainstream-Musik, was eben nicht jeder hört. Sam mochte sie, sie gab ihm etwas, was man als Identität bezeichnen kann.

Sam hatte vier Schwestern und zwei Brüder die ihn heute vermissen. „Gemeinsam mit vielen emos trug Sam alternative schwarze oder dunkle Kleidung und hatte lange Haare. ..“ 2)

Irgendwie geriet Sam auf die Internetseite Social-Networking-Site Bebo und wurde dort dann fertig gemacht. Ein Fall von Cybermobbing der typisch ist für unsere Zeit. Wahrscheinlich hat in sein Interesse für „gesellschaftliche, politische und zwischenmenschlichen Themen“ der EMO-Musik auf Bebo gebracht. (3)

Seine Mutter oder sein Vater wussten wohl genauso wenig davon wie seine Geschwister. „Sam’s mother said the family discovered the extent of the bullying only when they checked his Web page after his death. ‚I’m not sure what influence these sites have  –  but if they are a method of expressing things, maybe they should be checked more,‘ said 45-year-old Sally Cope”. (2)

Klar ist heute, dass viele der Täter sich nun für ihr asoziales Verhalten entschuldigen, was der Nachweis dafür ist, sie haben Sam fertig gemacht, einen 13 Jährigen, der die ersten Schritte in ein eigenes Leben gehen wollte und auch musste, so was nennt man auch Pubertät. (4)

Und Sam hatte eine weitere Leidenschaft für sich entdeckt, das Schreiben. „Peter Rowland, headmaster at Severn Vale School, paid tribute to Sam as a ‚wonderfully creative‘ writer who would be a ‚great loss‘ to the school”. (2)

Seine 22 jährige Schwester  Emma sagt, dass Sam auch wegen seiner Liebe zur Emo-Musik in der Schule gemobbt wurde. „Sam’s sister, Emma, 22, said he had also been bullied at school over his interest in the music”. (2)

Auf eine für ihn zur Erinnerung an sein kurzes Leben gemachte Internetseite äußern sich viele zu Sam und dem Verlust für uns alle, denn was hätte er uns alles über das Schreiben und die Musik noch mitteilen könne, doch der Mob hat hier gesiegt. Wie so oft, ob bei Sam oder Carl-Josef, Megan oder Phoebe, der Hass des Mobs hat so viele in den Tod getrieben, dass man bis heute nicht verstehen kann, warum Cybermobing nicht strafrechtlich verfolgt wird, gerade den Betreibern dieser Internetseiten muss doch mal ihre Fürsorgepflicht klar werden.

A school defends itself against bullying, anti-bullying Convention

You can do a lot if you have the responsibility as a leader in school do not worry, but sees a chance to defend themselves against the mob. Unlike the head teacher and his school board of the Berlin Lindenhof-Grundschule (1) the Eichwald-Realschule Sachsenheim has shown courage.

With an anti-bullying convention you stand on the side of the victim and the perpetrator says quite clearly what happens when they attack students, teachers, bully, or simply put a global bully, bullying or operate. No matter whether our lawyers or gods in my black, bullying is not a legal concept.

It is up to us citizens to fill this vacuum of legal incompetence, political unwillingness to look away and investigators. They are our schools, it is our everyday life and our Constitution, in Germany just Genant because of the inability of politicians and the Basic Law.

The anti-bullying convention of the Eichwald-Realschule (2) has a clear and concise and can help many in Germany as a teaching model convention. It is therefore something of a milestone in the fight against bullying, and you can Schull management, teachers and students only have made to so much commitment.

The anti-bullying Convention begins with the motto: “WE LOOK TOWARD AND ACTION”.

And that means even for those concerned, “we protect and support the victims and offer help! Also states that, “we hold and can not be victims in the lurch.” Simple and sustainable you can not put it well.

WE LOOK THERE AND ACTMeans for the perpetrators:

– “We condemn bullying, not the bullies or the”.

– “We try, together with the perpetrators, the perpetrator of the problems to solve.”

– “Our trained mediators bullying look together in discussion with all stakeholders to find solutions.” (2)

The aim of the anti-bullying convention is “we want a school of good cooperation and trust, and thus also a school be without bullying, harassment and violence“. (2)

There are five fundamental cornerstones on which all the action, that is Talking, explaining, giving, bars, and undertake:

– We commit us to act together with others against bullying and harassment, where we observe it. We act together instead of alone.

Then follow five contacts at the school. A convention can be that easy, clear and understandable and useful to the cause aware of its social role as a duty of care provider to be finished.

One can only hope to read lots of schools, companies and authorities of this Convention against bullying and assume, on the politicians we can not count anyway. So we must act within the law and citizens within the meaning of our Constitution, Article 1 and 2.

We have a choice between a School principal a la Linden School Berlin or a school like the Oakwood Secondary School. As simple as it can be to take a stand and defend himself and a life worth to work together. You have to want to.
